# Podinfo Istio
Podinfo is a tiny web application made with Go
that showcases best practices of running microservices in Kubernetes.
## Installing the Chart
To install the chart with the release name `my-release`:
```console
kubectl create namespace demo
kubectl label namespace demo istio-injection=enabled
```
```console
$ helm install podinfo-istio --name my-release -namespace demo
```
The command deploys podinfo-istio on the Kubernetes cluster in the default namespace.
The [configuration](#configuration) section lists the parameters that can be configured during installation.
## Uninstalling the Chart
To uninstall/delete the `my-release` deployment:
```console
$ helm delete --purge my-release
```
The command removes all the Kubernetes components associated with the chart and deletes the release.
## Configuration
The following tables lists the configurable parameters of the podinfo-istio.chart and their default values.
