These were not consistent in some cases (kubelet http vs https
configuration). The best-practice for this is to allow the config
to come from prometheus's default.
Added configuration options to specify custom durations if overrides
are desired

In the case alertingEndpoints is used, not every deployment may require an alertmanager with it. Prometheus will throw an alert in this case unless the rule is manually removed. This will just exlude the rule automatically should alertmanager be disabled.
